Tim Kernan, partner

A graduate of New York University and the Landing School, Tim worked as chief engineer and lead design associate for Robert Perry Yacht Designers, Inc (1995-2000). He then worked as a consultant to Morelli and Melvin Design and Engineering, designers of the record breaking maxi-cat Playstation (2000-2003). Kernan Yacht Design was founded in 2003

Frederick Courouble, partner

Graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture in England Frederick Courouble received his Master’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering with emphasis in aerodynamic in 2007. In Europe, Frederick did consultancy works and designs on Open 60 as crew and designer with Joubert-Nivelt office, then joined the German Frers office in Milan for 3 years  running all the IMS designs . Relocated to the USA in 2000, he collaborated with Alan Andrews until 2007, mainly specialized in performance optimization of racing yachts; his latest research work in optimization was in collaboration with the South African syndicate “Shosholoza” for the 32nd America’s Cup.
